The Architecture Reading Room is operated under the direction of Arts & Humanities Services, Syracuse University Library.

The Architecture Reading Room contains the following materials:

  • A general "working collection" of commonly used architecture books: history titles, monographs on major figures in architecture, technical sources and reference standards.
  • Gift collections from the Harley J. McKee estate, Professor Emeritus Kermit J. Lee, Jr., and Chester Soling.
  • Course reserve materials (check SUMMIT)
  • Current issues of the major architecture periodicals.
  • Selected thesis prep books (see Architecture Subject Guide for Student Theses in Architecture)
  • Working drawings. Over 250 sets of prints documenting major contemporary projects (listed on SUMMIT). For a complete list of holdings, search by title Working drawings.

Circulation Policy
General stacks 1 week for all patrons
Reserves 2 hour, 1 day, or 3 days
Current periodicals 2 hours
Thesis prep books 3 days
Working drawings  2 hours

Certain materials are restricted to in-room use only, but limited circulation is available for most titles.

One renewal unless otherwise noted.

Working drawings  $.50 per hour
