Education and Outreach

As a part of the university community, the Belfer Archive maintains active connections with faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Belfer serves regularly as a teaching laboratory for the University's music industry students. In addition, we offer tours and instruction sessions by appointment to student and faculty groups from all over campus, including Music, Fine Arts, Information Studies, and Journalism.  Collaboration with other academic units offers unique curricular opportunities for studying historical audio sources, events, speeches, compositional styles, performance practice, and the technological evolution of sound recording.
