discuss job duties, and review drafts of the job description.

| Modifications to the action plan and/or
action team |
Project Manager was changed following retirement of AUL for Public
Services in January 2001.
We recommended a job title change from Information Literacy Officer
to Head of Instructional Programs.
Our initial recommendation was to open the search to candidates
without an MLS, but with experience in higher education. Subsequent
discussion indicates that the person filling this position may
initially be involved in instruction, until additional support
is assigned. Given this change, we are willing to reinstate the
MLS requirement, if desired.

| Obstacles or barriers to progress |
Various personnel matters made it necessary to delay starting
on this initiative until spring 2001. ACRL and spring break made
finding meeting times difficult.
|
| Timetable for completion |
Job description completed and approved by the Library Administrative
Committee on 4/2/01. Job description will be forwarded to the
Library Personnel Office for posting by 4/12/01.
