Syracuse University Library Associates is a society devoted to the enrichment of the University Library and the greater Syracuse community. Members share an interest in books, learning, and the preservation of knowledge.
Chancellor William Pearson Tolley (1942-69) founded Library Associates in 1953 because, as he said, "A great university must have a great library." For more than fifty years Library Associates has strengthened the Library, especially by augmenting its vast collections of rare books and manuscripts.
